Aisling Bea

Aisling B a, born 16 March, 1984 in Kildare Ireland. She has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16th March 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her professional career with stand-up comedy in the year 2011, following small parts she played in Irish and British television dramas from 2009. By 2012 she was regularly appearing on sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms. In the wake of her success in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was scheduled for a range of panel show. Between 2016 and 2017, she was a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and is a frequent contestant on the sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the child of Brian O'Sullivan, and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. She was the only female winner of So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea is her name in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is the daughter of a Kildare born girl. Her birth date was the 16th of March, 1984. Bea's father Brian was a vet for horses who committed suicide aged three. She was not aware of the cause of her death until 13 years later. In 2017 she composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also took on the stage name Bea in remembrance of him. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a professional jockey for a time. Her family were fascinated by racing meetings and horses. Bea began her career as an official guide for tourists at the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her true passion was performing and not racing.
